My kids are just a crack up tonight....first of all, Brandon and I were in the laundry room trying to fix the washer. And I could hear the kids talking at the table. Weylon says to his sister, "when I grow up, I want to be Jesus." Brandon and I look at each other and smile. Then in the same breath he says, "or maybe a home depot worker." And our smile faded. HAHA What a hoot. And well I guess Jesus was a carpenter, so they do have something in common right?
Then we were getting the kids to bed, and Brandon had his little notebook on and was reading facebook. He says to me, "it amazes me how many people out there just can't grow up..." And well, he was referring to someone who is in mid 30's and acting like he was 16 still. But to Weylon, that meant a whole different ball park. He says, "so like a midgit dad? Cause midgits aren't very tall. They don't grow up to be too big." And once again, daddy and I busted a gut laughing.
Then I was telling Brandon about an email I got about onions. And how if you put an unpeeled onion in each room in your house, you could avoid getting the flu and other viruses. Savanna was listening to us. She pipes in, "a virus? I thought only computers could get a virus." Then I had to use a phrase I didn't think I was old enough to have to use until I was at least in my 50's....I said, "well Savanna back in my day, when I was a kid, we actually had viruses that had nothing to do with a computer." So then she had to get smart on me and say, "I know mom. You didn't even have computers when you were a kid. You didn't even have tv's either. Well you didn't have colored tv's anyways." Darn kids. HAHA. I still had to laugh.
Savanna was in charge of family home evening tonight. She picked something wonderful to do, and did it all herself. She had a big tree and hung it on a bedroom door. Then she made several Christmas tree ornaments out of paper. She then read us a story out of the children's friend about a family that wanted to remember Christ at Christmas time. So they made ornaments for a paper tree and wrote something on them that they knew about Jesus. And every day they would write something about Jesus and hang it on the tree. So that is what we did. She did a great job. I am so proud of her. On Sunday, I was sitting there during sacrament, and I look up to see her walk up to the front of the chapel and bear her testimony. It made me cry. It was short and sweet. But SO to the point. She has such a pure love of Christ. I love her innocence and purity. I am so proud of her. What a great thing to see your child bear her testimony to others for her first time!

Merry Christmas!
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have up our tree! We have lights around the house! Even red lights on the outside of the house! And of course Christmas music is on basically 24/7! We LOVE the Christmas season! I even did most of my shopping this year on Amazon. But I still made Brandon go with me on black friday just for fun. He hates all the people, but that is the 1 time I LOVE it. But we went later on in the morning and didn't even have to wait in line or anything!
Santa sent a package to the kids and inside was a tiny little mailbox. If the handle is ever up, either Santa or one of his elves will have a letter in the box for the kids. So far Marlo and Oscar the elves have written to the kids. And also Santa himself! Marlo the elf even told the kids that he rode our Christmas train around the tree while we were at church! That got the kids really excited! I will post a picture of it all. It makes them behave so much better! So I owe a HUGE thank you to Jo Clause...She had a wonderful idea sending this to the kids!
Weylon has his Christmas program next week and then we only have 1 week left of school after that before the break! There isn't a whole lot of excitement at our house other than the hustle and bustle of Christmas...But I am so proud of my kids. They came home from school really excited about the Toys for Tots program. They really wanted to be able to donate some gently used toys for the less fortunate. So last night we got a box out and they went through all the stuffed animals we have. (A huge rubber tote full of them. Most of them are brand new!) And they filled the box for the kids! I am so proud of them for beginning to understand what it means to give and serve others. It makes me feel good. OakLeigh still didn't quite understand the concept, and she was pulling things out of the box just as fast as we were filling it. But eventually she did put them back in. Then they went through the pantry and filled another box of canned goods. It does a mother's heart good to see her own children wanting to give to others!

The kids wont leave the train or track alone so its broken apart again! But its so fun to have! Look close at Weylon you may be able to see his black eye. Savanna elbowed him last night. Poor kid! This is about his 8th black eye!

Thanksgiving 2011
Oaks and Memphis had the same face. It made me laugh.

Had to get a Halloween pic or 2 in. Savanna the ice queen. Weylon the ape. OakLeigh the donkey. Memphis the Puppy.

This was our first snow fall of the year. It was barely a dusting of snow but Weylon was so excited he got dressed in ALL OF HIS SNOW GEAR and tried to sled. It didn't work too well but he stayed out in that snow as long as the wind didn't blow it away. Silly boy.

I have so much to be thankful for this year. As you can tell from the pictures everyone is doing great. I have a huge list of thankfulls. I am first so very thankful for my new baby boy (well he is now 6 months old), Memphis Treyne. He is such a delight to have in our family. He is the happiest baby. He is such a blessing after the loss of our little Steven. I am so grateful that my Heavenly Father brought him into our home. I am so thankful for Savanna, Weylon and OakLeigh also. Each of them brings so much into our family. Savanna has the kindest heart of anyone you will ever know. Weylon is the hardest worker and will do anything to help me and daddy. OakLeigh is a crazy, happy, girl. She loves being home to help me with Memphis. Brandon has a great job and we are so blessed for his work he does for our family. He works very hard to provide for us. And we are so glad he does. I am thankful I get to stay home with my 4 kids. It is a challenge sometimes, and I may complain more than not, but I wouldn't trade this time for anything. I am so very blessed. I know that everything I have, is because of my loving Heavenly Father. Its been a good year. I pray that 2012 will be as amazing and fulfilling as 2011.

The Middle
Ok so mom calls me tonight laughing about the episode of the middle. A tv show that I don't get to watch because we don't get ABC on tv. So I got on the internet to watch it. Anyways, there is a girl on the show that joins the swim team in high school. She is pretty nerdy. And apparently she reminds my family of me. Oh joy thats something I wanted to hear. But anyhoo, she was so exited and was running to school and freaked out cause she 'almost didn't remember her locker combination'...which got my family laughing even harder. (and I will tell a story to explain why soon...) and also she didn't want to be late, so she had her goggles still on her head. So now for the reason why my family was laughing so hard. When I was a freshman, we had the old swimming pool a couple blocks from my house. We had early morning swim practise. I had to walk to practise. And then after hurry get dressed and run home to catch a ride to the school with my older brother Kelly (who was a senior and didn't really enjoy taking his dorky freshman sister to school). Well we had a really rough practise. And apparently I was dazed and couldn't remember ANYTHING. OH and to make this even worse, I am COMPETELY BLIND without my glasses or contacts. But I had a 'very cool' pair of prescription goggles so I could see in the water. Which was nice becuase without them I would run into the lane rope, go under the lane rope, go over the lane rope, hit the wall, you get the picture. Anyways, practise is over, I am at my locker trying every combination I could think of. And......NOTHING. And every few minutes I would have to flip my awesome prescription goggles and rub the fog off the inside and suction them back to my face so I could TRY AGAIN. But NOTHING. COMPLETE AND TOTAL BRAIN FREEZE. So I leave the locker room, and call Kelly. Begging for him to pick me up at the pool. He says, "NOPE" and hangs up on me. SO I HAD TO WALK 2 (ALMOST 3) BLOCKS HOME IN MY SPEEDO, SWIM CAP STILL ON MY HEAD, NO SHOES, NO COAT, AND STUPID PRESCRIPTION GOGGLES THAT KEPT FOGGING UP, so I would have to stop every few seconds and wipe the insides so I could continue my freezing and oh so humiliating walk home. Oh and did I mention IT WAS SNOWING OUTSIDE?!!! OH but I did have my shammy with me. (If you don't know what a shammy is, its a washrag sized squishy towel thing). NOT BIG ENOUGH TO COVER YOUR FACE size of towel. And of course we lived on main street and all the busses were en route, and all the kids GOING TO SCHOOL PASS MY HOUSE. I have never been more honked at or whistled at in my life. Keep in mind, I am sure it wasn't a 'woohoo hey goodlooking' kind of honk or whistle. It was a 'hey dummy its the middle of winter and you are in a speedo walking down mainstreet you moron' kind of honk. And then I had to stand on the corner of main street for like 10 minutes waiting for a break in traffic just so I could get across to the safety and warmth of my home. So, maybe 45 minutes pass by and my mom gets home from driving her bus route. She walks in the front door to her ONLY DAUGHTER sitting on the couch crying. Yes, still in her speedo swim suit, CAP ON HEAD, and prescription goggles. I remember looking the direction of the door, but couldn't see who walked in UNTIL I FLIPPED MY GOGGLES OVER so I could WIPE THE FOG from them AGAIN. And I don't see a compassionate face, I see tears rolling down my moms face because she was trying so hard to hold in her laughter. (But she lost it and laughed at me anyways.) So I told her Kelly wouldn't come get me at the pool and I couldn't remember my locker combo to get my clothing out or my glasses out. And had to walk home IN THSI OUTFIT in the snow. And do I get a hug? NO! She bursts out in LAUGHTER AGAIN. And so of course I broke down and....LAUGHED. Cause if you can't laugh at yourself, especially with my life, then you are gonna have a really bad life! As Sister Marjorie Paye HInkley once said, "The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache." Anyways, thanks to my mom we finally got my locker opened, I got my clothes on, put my glasses on and went to school. I have managed to keep this wonderful high school memory out of my life for 20 years, until I saw this episode of the middle. And it all came rushing back and of course had to be called by my laughing mother who couldn't even speak she was laughing so hard. So the moral of the story is, I lived. I learned to laugh at myself. Thank goodness I learned to laugh at myself. Because I was only a freshman then, and have a lot more and worse stories than that one. So if you need to visualize this at all, watch the middle. I am the dorky girl who tips over cause her backpack is too heavy (with her goggles on her head of course). LOL

September 2011
"A happy family is but an earlier heaven."
~ Sir John Bowring
I have a few pictures to post from September. Savanna and Weylon went to the dentist. And Weylon didn't run out screaming! WOOHOO! He was even excited! I tell you what, he is a new changed boy since he started kindergarten! He has done so good and he is progressing so well. Savanna started swim lessons through the school. I love that Rozet takes 2 weeks and buses all the kids to Gillette every day for swim lessons. And the school pays for them!! I like things for free! :)
My poor OakLeigh has had swollen tonsils for 7 weeks now. I have taken her to 3 different doctors and finally the E.N.T., Dr. Davis, decided we are taking her tonsils out. So in 2 more days, she will be really miserable but I hope to see her bounce back quickly and finally feel good. She has been one ornery turd lately, but I am sure its cause she doesn't feel good. And even though its a simple procedure I am so nervous for her. I know it will go good, its just that I am a huge worrier.
We had stake conference 2 weeks ago and Brother Russell M. Nelson came and spoke. It was amazing! He had all the primary kids stand up on their chairs and sing I am A Child of God. I was blubbering like a big ole baby of course. It was really special and I hope my kids will remember it. Memphis needed fed, so I snuck to the back of the camplex (conference was in the camplex where they hold the HSNFR) to hide and feed him and left Brandon up front(ish) with the other 3. He was so mad at me by the time conference was over, cause I never went back. I sat in the back while Memphis slept and I actually got to listen! Apparently the kids were little stinkers. He made them sit on the couch with arms folder for one full hour and practice being reverent. But since he only gets to go to church like 1x a month, I NEVER get to listen cause I am dealing with 4 stinkers all alone. So I didn't really feel that bad for him. HA HA!
OH and we also ripped out our carpet and put in laminate floor. It looks so awesome! We pulled staples out for like 6 hours and we all had blisters on our fingers. Brandon and Jared worked really hard and finished it on Saturday! We have to finish the transitional pieces and put the base board back on the walls, but it looks so nice and so far, the upkeep is so easy! WOOHOO! I love it! Hopefully when we get ready to sell this place it will help!
Here is OakLeigh being silly in the car on the way home from Rapid City!

OakLeigh snuck in Krypto while I was in the shower and hid her in her blanket! Stinky dog was loving that!

Memphis is such a happy boy! He is almost too big for this bounch chair thing.

Weylon at the dentist! He looks scared but did great!

Savanna at the dentist! She was so excited!

Memphis is such a silly boy!

Working on the new flooring. Almost done here!

God Bless America!
I will always remember what I was doing on September 11th, 2001. I was home in Lyman taking care of my parents dog Chloe. My dad was already living in Farmington NM and working. Mom was in Dalton, Georgia visiting Kel and Sara, awaiting the arrival of the birth of Lauren. She was late! Mom had already been there over a week and was due to fly back on the 11th. I had a long night because I had so many weird noises scare me in the night. And Chloe was as big a chicken as me. The power had gone out. And we both hid under the covers for a while. lol...When I finally fell asleep it was 4 in the morning. I woke up to my friend Tiffany calling me. Asking me if I was watching the news. She said turn on the tv and watch. What flight is your mom on? At that time, it was still too fresh on the news too know what flights had been hijacked. Talk about panic. I called over and over and over again. And couldn't reach my mom. Finally I was able to get a hold of her. She was still at the airport in Dalton. Her flight was obviously canceled. I immediately got on my knees thanking my Father in Heaven that my mom was safe and then praying for all those people. Then I sat in the living room ALL DAY LONG and watched in horror as our Country was attacked. I will never forget that day. It made me realize how precious our freedom is. I was a 'reborn American' if you will. Kind of like in our church when you finally gain your own testimony, we call it that you are converted. Well I was converted that day. Every time I hear or sing "God Bless America" I tear up and cry. I never fully appreciated how great our Country really was until our freedom was compromised. Until we were attacked. Now I know and understand. I am forever grateful to our soldiers from the past and now - To our founding fathers. I will forever look at my America with a new heart. With a heart of love and humility. If you can look at a positive outcome of the attacks on September 11th, I would say a Country that became Re-United. People stopped to serve more = A newly born commitment to love and serve.
God Bless America! Land that I love! God Bless America - my home sweet home!

Salt Lake City Utah
We went to SLC for a few days. It wasn't supposed to be a fun visit. We went to find out about when they would do Brandon's hip surgery. So we were nervous and anxious to see what the doctor had to tell us. He has been having more pain and swelling lately and last year she told us surgery would definatley occur in a year. Its been a year, and well, prayers are answered! His hip looked really good. The part that they thought would have to be replaced didn't look bad at all! She said, 'see you next year'! PHEW! What a relief! So gave Brandon some meds to try for the arthritis and pain. Lets hope it helps!
On our drive down (or up - I never know what is the right way to say it) anyways, we met Kelly in Rock Springs at his hotel. He has been working at La Barge all week. I was so excited to catch up with him. We usually only get to see him once a year in the summer so that was awesome. We went to his room and he fed us KFC and let my kids wreak havoc on his room for an hour. I was so glad we got to see Kel. I miss all my brothers so that was awesome!
We did some good school clothes shopping and then the kids were introduced to the 'ESCALATOR'. Apparently we don't get out enough. I thought Weylon was gonna have a heart attack he was so excited to see 'moving stairs'. So Brandon let them go up and down a few times and they laughed so hard. They thought it was greater than a Lagoon ride! Poor kids, Brandon and I decided we do need to get out more, if that is what excites our children. We then met some good friends at the CHEESECAKE FACTORY. This was so DELICIOUS! And we left so fat and full. Then Brandon took the kids swimming at the motel and we all slept so good that night, NO ONE MOVED ALL NIGHT LONG! I love those kind of nights! They make me so happy! Then we drove our LONG DRIVE HOME on Saturday. It was a fun QUICK trip. Brandon is going to KILL me for posting this picture but it is so dang cute. I had to do it. Sorry hun! I didn't dare get in the pool or let Memphis swim yet. It was really cold water.
All in all it was a great weekend and a nice break. It was good to spend some time together since Brandon works so much lately.

Another year older/ A new school year!
In August I got older. The wiser part doesn't seem to fall into place for me for some reason! (HAHA) But Savanna made her first cake ever. And it tasted really good. And we had a great day! The kids and Brandon made it special for me. Here is a picture. I HATE pictures of me, but figure the kids need some kind of picture of mom someday. I wish I didn't look like crap, but I do. Oh JOY!
School started yesterday! Savanna is now in 3rd grade and my Weylon is a Kindergartner! That is NUTS to me! Savanna is so into styles now! I was trying to help her pick out what to wear on her first day and I would pull out a cute pair of capris and she would say, 'seriously Mom? No one wears that kind of stuff to school." And thus it went for EVERYTHING I picked out. I knew I was bad with the trends and styles, but I didn't think I was bad enough that my 8 year old could pass me up on it! What a fun girl she is! She could teach me a few things about style I am sure! Now as for Weylon, we took him at 100 yesterday to meet his teacher and get started. He was so big! When the teachers aide took them and lined them up to go outside to play while we discussed the year with Mrs. Gutsche he left with a BIG SMILE! A huge change from last year in preschool. Last year, he went after a LOT of convincing, and then ran from the teacher outside and found his way back in to me. And he cried the whole time! This time he played good and when it was time for Parents to leave he said 'bye mom'! And he stayed HAPPILY and rode the bus home! Today he begins the all day every day routine. I pray he will do good and LOVE it! He is so ready for school! Its going to be so quiet at home with just OakLeigh and Memphis. Well and of course daycare kids. But they are all little ones now. (Thank goodness!). OakLeigh was so upset that she couldn't stay for school too at the open house. She even took off her shoes and lined them up with Weylon's PE shoes. And screamed and bawled when we had to really leave. She gets to start preschool there are Rozet school next year and go 2x a week. That will be so good for her. She is such a people person. And my Memphis boy is doing good. He has an ear infection and is just getting over a terrible cold. He was miserable there for a while, but we are on the mend. He is now 15 pounds and smiles ALL THE TIME! What a blessing he is! Well all my kids are, but to have a baby that likes to sleep at night, hardly EVER cries, and very happy and content is GREAT! Here are the pictures of Savanna and Weylon's first day of school! I am so proud of my children.

Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with me as a mother. Why do my kids behave a certain way? Why do they continually do the things they do? Why do I continually do and react the same way every time? What can I do better to be a better mother? Today is one of those days that I want to scream and pull my hair out. And of course I reacted badly and made it worse for EVERYONE in the house. After the tears, and having to put Weylon in his room for a good 45 minutes so I could cool off, I got on my knees and prayed for help. And I was able to calm down and go talk to him in a way that was good for him and he understood WHY his actions were wrong. He actually understood what I was trying to get across to him! Hmm, maybe calmly talking does work! Who would have thought that? LOL...Sheesh I have been a mom for how many years now....8 - and I am just getting the hang of that part. I wish I was better. I wish I didn't first yell and spank and then figure it out. But I will keep praying and keep working on it. And hope I dont screw up all my kids. I hope someday when they leave home they can leave KNOWING without a doubt that their MOM DOES LOVE THEM.
So I found the First Presidency Message. It is about Love at Home—

Blessed Family Life
“When we have sampled much and have wandered far and have seen how fleeting and sometimes superficial a lot of the world is, our gratitude grows for the privilege of being part of something we can count on—home and family and the loyalty of loved ones. We come to know what it means to be bound together by duty, by respect, by belonging. We learn that nothing can fully take the place of the blessed relationship of family life.”1
Sharing Our Love
“Give your child a compliment and a hug; say, ‘I love you’ more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It’s so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they’re gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of ‘what if’ and ‘if only.’ …
“Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. One day, each of us will run out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is most important.”2
“To you who are parents, I say, show love to your children. You know you love them, but make certain they know it as well. They are so precious. Let them know. Call upon our Heavenly Father for help as you care for their needs each day and as you deal with the challenges which inevitably come with parenthood. You need more than your own wisdom in rearing them.”3
Expressing Our Love
“To you parents, express your love to your children. Pray for them that they may be able to withstand the evils of the world. Pray that they may grow in faith and testimony. Pray that they may pursue lives of goodness and of service to others.
“What is most important almost always involves the people around us. Often we assume that they must know how much we love them. But we should never assume; we should let them know. Wrote William Shakespeare, ‘They do not love that do not show their love.’ We will never regret the kind words spoken or the affection shown. Rather, our regrets will come if such things are omitted from our relationships with those who mean the most to us.”5
“May our families and homes be filled with love: love of each other, love of the gospel, love of our fellowman, and love of our Savior. As a result, heaven will be a little closer here on earth.
“May we make of our homes sanctuaries to which our family members will ever want to return.”6
“Inasmuch as the family unit is under attack in the world today, and many things long held sacred are ridiculed, we ask Thee, our Father, to make us equal to the challenges we face, that we may stand strong for truth and righteousness. May our homes be havens of peace, of love and of spirituality.”7
TALK ABOUT A LESSON I NEEDED TO READ TODAY! PHEW. Take a breath. My Father in Heaven heard my prayer. He helped me...ONCE AGAIN. What would I do without the knowledge of prayer? REALLY? How does anyone go throughout life without prayer and knowledge that we do have a loving Father in Heaven just a prayer away? Thank goodness for the prompting to get on my knees today. I am so blessed. It WILL be a good day. I will make it that way. I am not alone in this!

August So Far-
August has been a great month so far. We were able to go to Vernal and Roosevelt Utah for Jacey and Paige's baptisms. It was so great to be able to be there and show them some support. It was a long drive. We drove all day Friday and had a great time and came home Sunday. It took us about 10 hours to drive-which isn't bad with my kids! Memphis did great for his first real time going anywhere far. He slept a lot. He screamed till 400am friday night but did great the rest of the time! He was a better traveler than any of the other 3! It was good to be there for Jacey and Paige. They are such good kids and am so thankful for the choice they made to be baptized! They had such big smiles on their cute little faces. I wish I would have thought to get a picture of them and Savanna. Since they were all baptized so close together!
A couple of Sundays ago, I was called into President Jones office. Oh great I thought. He asked me if I would be willing to teach the youth Sunday School class. Are you kidding me? I started to laugh. Because I really wanted to bawl like a big baby. The youth scare me to death. Don't ask me why. They are all great kids. But I am a big dork and don't know nearly as much as they do, and am SCARED TO TRY TO TEACH THEM! So I told him yes. Trust me if I had been taught differently, the NO would have been blurted out very easily. But I very quietly said yes. It wasn't very convincing. President Jones could tell. He asked me, and I said, "you have just asked me to do the ONE calling I always told Brandon that I WOULD NEVER DO'. I said I would rather be Relief Society President again. LOL. But after today, it wasn't so bad. They didn't bite. They were all good kids and even participated. So I take it back. I DO NOT want to be RS president again. I rather enjoyed the lesson. And I got to go to RS again. I haven't done that since I was released I think. It was a good day. Its funny to think. I have been feeling like I haven't been doing my part in studying the scriptures. I haven't felt like I have been in tune with the Spirit at all. I have been dragging my feet about EVERYTHING! And because He is MY Father in Heaven, He knew it. He knew that I needed a big swift kick in the rear end to get me on the ball. And let me tell you, this calling is what I need. I read my scriptures this week. I started studying for that lesson on Monday. I studied for it every day. I haven't actually STUDIED my scriptures in a long time. It felt good. So, once again, my Heavenly Father knows best. I will accept His call. I am NO Fonzy or Leroy, because they are just naturally awesome teachers, but I will do my best, and I am sure I will be the one who benefits the most from this calling.

What a day!
Well today started off like any other regular day. I was able to do some time on my elliptical. I got the house straitened up a little bit. The kids had breakfast. Well I was sitting down to nurse Memphis. Weylon and OakLeigh decided to go outside to play. Nothing new. They do it all the time. A few minutes later I hear banging on the front door and screaming. I jump up to see Weylon COVERED in blood. And he was holding his foot. I threw Memphis to Savanna. Grabbed him and blood was SPURTING out of his foot. I panicked. We ran to the bathroom and I put a towel on it and it bled through a pretty large towel. And he is STILL SCREAMING. I was shaking but started to get control so he could calm down. I called Brandon. I don't know why. I guess for some reassurance. Then I called Brandon's mom cause I knew he needed stitches. It was pretty deep. I got the spurting to stop but it was still bleeding really bad. She came right over (thank goodness cause the last thing I needed was to take 4 kids to the ER). Anyways, turns out he found a leatherman outside in the dirt. Popped open the pocket knife part and was trying to "mow the grass". I looked at his shoe, sure enough there is a LARGE slice out of it. He only had to get 3 stitches, but the knife went in 3/4 inch deep. Thats deep for a little 5 year old foot. He has been a champ though. So he decided to go outside a few hours later, came in and blood was all over again. I was praying that he didn't bust open the stitches. He didn't and has parked it on the chair and hasn't moved since. Poor guy. But he is pretty proud of those stitches and yes, he is soaking it in for all its worth. What a trooper. He told me he will "never play with a knife again. OR EVEN TOUCH SCISSORS". Guess he was scarred for life. GOOD. Here is is relaxing in the recliner. I didn't dare take a picture of the stitches yet. They are wrapped for now.

I am just thankful that he didn't cut off his foot. It got stopped on his shoe by the thick leather. A moment that made me proud though, Savanna and OakLeigh were in the living room crying when they saw the blood. So OakLeigh told Savanna they needed to say a prayer and that he would be ok. So they did. Makes me feel like I am doing something right! I love my kids. Even when they do these kind of things to me and literally give me a heart attack. This is why I can't have kids their age at 45. I would probably have dropped dead from the sight of the spurting blood.
Oh and on another note, I got to go to dinner with my friends last night. We went to prime rib. But as I was walking out the door to leave, OakLeigh and Weylon (once again those 2 together is a bad deal) were caught up in the fishing pole and Weylon was reeling in OakLeigh. Thankgoodness he only caught her pajama top. But man alive it was wedged in that hook really good. Could have been another catastrophe, but I am glad we are being watched over. I know prayers are heard every morning and night for our families safety! I will finish with some pictures I found off my phone. They are all blurry as I don't get the smart phones. I am not "smart" enough to figure them out. LOL
Savanna got a bling belt for school at the NHSRA. She was so excited and its really cute!

She had fun on the monkey bars at the Rozet school park.

Weylon tried on a hat at the Flinstones park. I love how all you can see are his teeth and big grin.

Memphis is sleeping. What a sweet baby boy.

OakLeigh insisted on playing in the rain. She had a great day!
