Well today started off like any other regular day. I was able to do some time on my elliptical. I got the house straitened up a little bit. The kids had breakfast. Well I was sitting down to nurse Memphis. Weylon and OakLeigh decided to go outside to play. Nothing new. They do it all the time. A few minutes later I hear banging on the front door and screaming. I jump up to see Weylon COVERED in blood. And he was holding his foot. I threw Memphis to Savanna. Grabbed him and blood was SPURTING out of his foot. I panicked. We ran to the bathroom and I put a towel on it and it bled through a pretty large towel. And he is STILL SCREAMING. I was shaking but started to get control so he could calm down. I called Brandon. I don't know why. I guess for some reassurance. Then I called Brandon's mom cause I knew he needed stitches. It was pretty deep. I got the spurting to stop but it was still bleeding really bad. She came right over (thank goodness cause the last thing I needed was to take 4 kids to the ER). Anyways, turns out he found a leatherman outside in the dirt. Popped open the pocket knife part and was trying to "mow the grass". I looked at his shoe, sure enough there is a LARGE slice out of it. He only had to get 3 stitches, but the knife went in 3/4 inch deep. Thats deep for a little 5 year old foot. He has been a champ though. So he decided to go outside a few hours later, came in and blood was all over again. I was praying that he didn't bust open the stitches. He didn't and has parked it on the chair and hasn't moved since. Poor guy. But he is pretty proud of those stitches and yes, he is soaking it in for all its worth. What a trooper. He told me he will "never play with a knife again. OR EVEN TOUCH SCISSORS". Guess he was scarred for life. GOOD. Here is is relaxing in the recliner. I didn't dare take a picture of the stitches yet. They are wrapped for now.

I am just thankful that he didn't cut off his foot. It got stopped on his shoe by the thick leather. A moment that made me proud though, Savanna and OakLeigh were in the living room crying when they saw the blood. So OakLeigh told Savanna they needed to say a prayer and that he would be ok. So they did. Makes me feel like I am doing something right! I love my kids. Even when they do these kind of things to me and literally give me a heart attack. This is why I can't have kids their age at 45. I would probably have dropped dead from the sight of the spurting blood.
Oh and on another note, I got to go to dinner with my friends last night. We went to prime rib. But as I was walking out the door to leave, OakLeigh and Weylon (once again those 2 together is a bad deal) were caught up in the fishing pole and Weylon was reeling in OakLeigh. Thankgoodness he only caught her pajama top. But man alive it was wedged in that hook really good. Could have been another catastrophe, but I am glad we are being watched over. I know prayers are heard every morning and night for our families safety! I will finish with some pictures I found off my phone. They are all blurry as I don't get the smart phones. I am not "smart" enough to figure them out. LOL
Savanna got a bling belt for school at the NHSRA. She was so excited and its really cute!
alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5636822179117086930" />She had fun on the monkey bars at the Rozet school park.

Weylon tried on a hat at the Flinstones park. I love how all you can see are his teeth and big grin.

Memphis is sleeping. What a sweet baby boy.

OakLeigh insisted on playing in the rain. She had a great day!
